From Mezcal-spiked breakfast juices to Justin Bieber’s $40K a night hotel, Cabo is #travelgoals

I know what you did this past winter… you spent all those frosty days online stalking warm AF vacation spots to escape to like it’s your damn job, right?

But if your far-flung fantasy consists of early bedtimes, healthy food and sunrise yoga it’s more than likely you’ve ruled out Mexico’s Los Cabos for a relaxing break. But you’d be wrong.

Once immortalised by blotto college kids holding bikini contests, Cabo’s tequila-drenched reputation has preceded it for decades. But in recent years that garish status has been shifting.

New development in the cities of Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, as well as, the 30-kilometre coastal Resort Corridor between them (a region collectively named, ‘Los Cabos’) means that the area is now wooing healthy travellers who are after high-end wellness holidays.

Where to stay…

Now, if we’re being totally honest, it’s a lot easier to have a healthy-ish holiday when you’re staying somewhere with amazing chefs, gyms, spas and specialists on site to nurture you through your vacay. Somewhere exactly like the Montage Los Cabos.

Step inside the open-air lobby of this freshly constructed seaside resort and it’s clear the hotel’s immaculate architecture (and Instagram-worthy cactus gardens!) have been designed with your serenity in mind.
